Technology Research Speed

Hey,

Anyone know how to slowdown tech research? I really don't want to go through all the tech and up the cost of each tech. What I'm looking for is an overall tech research rate.

Lower your research spending. That'll slow it down real quick.

Yeah, I can lower my own research spending... but that won't make every other civ slow....

I want it such that every civ has to work hard to get a tech.

The only way to do that is to mod all the tech entried (and some of them can't be increased much... I've run into CTDs generating the galaxy caused by setting them too high and confusing the parser. The limit is somewhere just above 50000 [65535, if I had to guess]).
