1/ you are afraid of? I'm terrified of pigeons, anything that flaps really, but they scare the life out of me!

2/ you want to learn? I'd love to learn how to be a great writer, though I don't think it's something you can be taught!

3/ you do not understand ? I don't understand how relationships work, and I fear I never will, why people have to play these games, why can't it just be easy, and fairytale like *sigh*

4/ you can do very well ? I'm a good thinker, I getlost inside my own head sometimes, I love thinking!

5/ you cannot do at all ? I can't speak French, I was taught it for five years at school, and I never picked up anything, I was hopeless at it, and it was the only subject i failed!

Chin up Sal, French is easy. Just speak out ur nose and spit on the people you talk to. Throw in an "Ay" or "on" at the end of every word, pronounce the "ble" at the end of words like possible, and assume an air of smug artistic superiority at all times. really, there's only one expression you need to know in French and its "je ne sais pas".

1/ you are afraid of ? Ducks. They have a vendetta against my family. The cute little ducklings would waddle past everyone at uni, being fluffy and cute, then turn and his at me. I kid you not. And a few weeks ago my Mum was playing golf when a duck ran out of the rough, nipped her on the heel and ran off again. They hate us! (Maybe it's because I think they're so tasty?)

2/ you want to learn ? How to be true to myself. How to not simply agree with people because it's easier. And how to Morris Dance.


3/ you do not understand ? Most things, but why we choose to continue doing things which are bad for us (relationships, smoking, poor food habits) when we are so aware of the effect it has on our lives. Our basic masochistic urge.

4/ you can do very well ? Cook. Sing. Hug.


5/ you cannot do at all ? Anything requiring co-ordination. Or saying no to that last drink which renders you an incoherent, babbling idiot.

floozie, that duck thing is horrible !. i once got chased by two huge ducks and i was terrified !. and that was only once !. i can't imagine how traumatised you must be if that happens to you all the time. ... and what is "morris dancing" ?, i have never heard of that. do you dance with men named "morris" ?

Everyone laughs, it's ok, I'm even tempted to laugh myself! I can't really explain why, it's the whole flapping thing, and what if they come near me, and flap near my head or something, it's a totally irrational fear, but I actually runaway from them! Or they could poo on my head, that's another bad thing, and it's happened once! Yes, laugh away, hehe! I don't like any kind of bird, I can't even feed ducks, one chased me the other day, I was terrified! Moths, butterflies, my mum! Anything flappy, keep it away from me!

Mig you are so lovely, I think I'm going to adopt you as my blogging Mum! (even though your far to young for that ) That's my biggest dream to be a good writer, and I'll keep trying at it, I just don't know if I have that natural talent!

1) something i'm afraid of- the last ever bottle of Jack Daniels ever being empty

2) Something I'd like to learn- the art of making the perfect samwich, for that is the key to any man's heart right?

3) Something I don't understand- Why Ryan and Frank love that damned dog so much, oh and any kinda math except algebra, i can cope with that.

4) I can do very well- Make a complete mess of things and irritate people using stupid quotes from novels and movies.

shades, i guess you're no good with picnics on mountaintops then ? ... and hey ! .. i tried those two things, the elbow and the nose thing ... i cannot get even close to licking my elbow, and i can't touch my nose with my tongue, but i can get my tongue almost under my chin ! ewwww !. you should see the look on my husbands' face right now. hehe

psychx ... 1/ you won't ever lose your insight. i can tell ... you're stuck with it now, like it or not ... 2/ just do japanese the way dyl does french ... most of our "modern" words sound ridiculous in japanese anyway, so it's not much of a stretch. (i mean really ... the japanese for "orange juice" is pronounced "orenji joosoo", and "white shirt" sounds like "why shutsu" hehe). ... 3/ see below ...4/ me too ... 5/ one of my favourite old african proverbs "if you can talk, you can sing. if you can walk, you can dance"

You know what - I have no idea. But there's some quote from Winston Churchill which goes something like 'You should try everything once - except incest and morris dancing'. Of all the things that you shouldn't try (beastiality, murder, amputating limbs...) he chooses Morris Dancing. I, therefore, believe that I need to learn it simply because it must be truely horrifying! I think it may involve bells.

And thank you for supporting me on the duck issue. People just don't understand how truely scary and ballsy they are until you have faced an angry one!
