Great Game but to many crashes :(

I have a clean system and dont experence CTD with games like warcraft 3, City of Heroes, Freedom Force, Everquest, etc... I have the latest drivers and keep a very clean system. I did a search on the boards and found many crash threads and have come to realize the game is just buggy. It's to bad cause I really was having a great time playing this game.

Which version of the game do you have? I haven't had a crash in the game since...oh...I forgot when my last crash was. I haven't been hit by any bugs, at all. Also, be aware that Stardock has released a ton of patches that fix bugs and improve the game a lot. If you're playing the original, unpatched GalCiv, then I highly recommend you download the latest patch. ^^ It helps, a lot.

I'm running the latest patch that stardock offers. I hope that the problem lies with the autosave feature. I disabled that and going to give it one more try.

Well started a new game without autosave on and played all night with no crashes so far. :) Now I just need to find a way to get some sleep! ;p

Can you create save games yourself without it crashing?
