Unless I am mistaken, there are 3 bonuses:
- manufacturing bonus
- social production bonus
- military production bonus.
The manufacturing bonus is planet-level that can give free production to social and military. The paid production due to manufacturing bonus is also found as a paid research bonus, ie if you have no other bonus on military/social/research at planetary or empire level, 100% militray for this planet will costs the same than 100% social or 100% research.
The social and military bonus are empire level bonuses(ie apply on all planets) that give only paid bonuses (no free production). The social bonus increase only social production and military bonus increase only military production. Since they give no free production, you must have a good economy that generated enough BC in order to use correctly these bonuses (ie have an important spend rate)
