No music in reloaded game.

The four cord "music" is gone when a saved game is restarted. This failed on the Alpha 3 also.

That was marked as "fixed" on my bug list. I'll go back and see what happened. :)

Scott,

Interestingly, build 3 would loose the sector screen music but not the tech completion music when a game was reloaded. Now the
tech completion music is also missing after a reload. So is the "planet" music (thunder shower, birds singing, etc.).

We went back in and got the Music Toggle working correctly, so make sure music isn't turned off in your options window. If Music is "on" and you're still having the problem, let me know and I'll give it a look on Tuesday.

I may be having the problem because I tested whether or not the options settings would be saved and restored across saved
games. I had all of the options off for a while. Now when I turn music off the music comes on. When I turn music on the
music quits. I checked the prefs.ini file and here is something strange:
------
[GameOptions]

>>>>>> 1.11
=======
MusicVolume=GameOptions
AutoTurn=1
AutoBuild=1
DisableSfx=0
DisableMusic=0
GNN=1
ViewAttack=1
ViewAttacks=1
>>>>>>> 1.15
------
Note that there are two sets of settings for the options menu variables.
Also note that the settings for "autoturn", "disablemusic", and "gnn" have opposite settings in the two groups.
Also the second set includes two additional variables.

I had uninstalled Galciv and deleted the Galciv folders before installing the Alpha 4 build, so there should be
nothing residual here from the Alpha 3 build.

Jack

Something went wrong when I sent the last post. Part of the data that I clipped from the prefs.ini file vanished when
I sent it. I am sending the entire file to Cari via e-mail and will try to paste the missing part here again.

Scott,
It vanished again. I got your stardock e-mail address from your nickname, so I will send the entire
prefs.ini file to you.

ugh...CVS is always messing up the prefs.ini file, and Brad must not have checked for a conflict before he updated the files...I might have to end up removing that from the cvsstore...
