Yes this thread did start inocently enough.. but the "BUMPS" etc to this thread is quite blatent in my eyes.. (Yeah.. yeah.. I know my typing responses in here is doing the same thing.. however I am trying to point you guys in the right direction.. as is condoned by the other empires)
Empire talk is to be done in the Empires forum.. THIS FORUM IS ABOUT THE GAME IN GENERAL not to draw people attention to empires..

People were complaining about empire spam in the main forum.. and bumping a message to draw attention to any empire IS spam if its done out of the empires forum..

If you want to let people know about your threads in the empires forum.. then do it like everyone else has done.. in the sticky msg thread relating to it.. NOTE: that is unless someone has already posted a reply in that thread.. advertising your empire and its threads

I am not stupid.. and I know that the convertion thing is a joke... and I see this message for what it is...

As an empire leader I can't not condone this behavour..

If you don't respect my stand onb this then please drop me from being an honourery member of your empire..

Empires used to have similar threads in here but It was deemed to be like cheating ... I'm not picking on your empire or this thread in particular.. what I am doing and have done in the past is try to point out the accepted way of doing things in this forum..

Pl;ease close this thread now and post a link to your threads in the empires forum onb the sticky message (if your empire isn't already stated in trhere)

What pact? Qwerk, I think that you are taking this to far. You are not the forums moderator. I see no wrong. Stardock obviously sees no wrong.

In fact the use of these forums are only a guideline as far as I can tell.

The strategy forum has about 90% strategy post. The main forum (this one) has about 20% strategy post, 20% empire related stuff and a pile of other interesting things. The empire forum has about 90% empire post and about 20% strategy related things and 20% other crap.

My point was there is a lot of different topics in these forums.

There are no rules laid out by stardock.

There is no active moderator. There are 3 forums that make sense. MODS, Empires and Strategy. Most of the proper posts go here but as everyone knows there are exceptions all over the place.

My point is, if posts to the wrong forums bothered the wonderful people at stardock then there would be moderators.

Yes, but this doesn't mean that we shouldn't keep the forums clean.

Peace, I agree. From time to time people including myself will post to the wrong forum or perhaps a change of topic will occur in a thread that should be in another forum.

What I don't like is self appointed policemen yapping at me about it.
