Free-form Fun Weekend
But still no incentive to put the clean sheets on the bed...

So many weekends, when Helen is with her dad, i wallow in silent self pity. WELL, not this weekend!
Friday night i got to go out and meet someone. Too bad he hasn't filed for divorce yet... He seems nice and intelligent and all that, but... He has a good relationship with his WIFE... That's a pretty big kicker, too big. But, it was nice to have an excuse to get a little dressed up, slap on my favorite heels, and practice my flirting and sashaying skills.
Then, Saturday, start cleaning up, and Christina comes over to help redecorate the living room and spend the night... SEVERAL white russians and wine and much conversation later, we blogged... How Shocking!!! That was the Changes in Attitude blog... 2 drunk chicks joking around. It was pretty fun to do, even tho it doesn't look like anyone read it...
Then, Sunday, Father's day, We loaded up and went to Galveston with mom and one of my brothers, to throw some flowers into the spot in the ocean where we scattered dad's ashes, and have a lovely lunch at his favorite restaurant. It was a gorgeous sunny hot day and the water was about as pretty as it gets (a murky greenish brown). When we got back to the house, Christina decided to stay another night, so we decorated some more (no drinking for me tho).
Now my living room is soft and cozy... and green and black... I'm not much of a girly girly in some ways, very nonfloral in my decorating taste (but dang it there isn't anything better than fishnet stockings, so i am a girly girl in other ways).
Monday, up and to work, home for lunch, Christina's still here, back to work and then home again, to Christina who's cooked dinner! Plenty of company this week, although there are days yet to go before Friday when i get Helen back...
AND... S. from eharmony might turn out to be a real hum-dinger... gosh, i sure hope so...
Yahoo for being busy sometimes... make that self-pity go hide in the closet down the hall... won't be back til the house is empty, and maybe not even then, this week anyway...
