What happens to Trade Route to conquered planets?

Lets say Civilization A has a trade route to Civilization B. I then come along and conquered the planet that A had. Does this mean that I am now doing business with B? I noticed that on the turn summary sometimes I see it reporting that I am doing xx% of trade in the galaxy even when I haven't made a single freighter and no other foreign freighters have landed on my planets. Is that caused by conquered planets?

Is it possible to turn from Good to Evil or Evil to Good AFTER you have gotten the final alignment techs so you have the best of both worlds?

Thanks in advance.

If its an AB situation the route will be delited, if the route ic with C and A B has a fee route, B will take over the route.

An enlignment change in a late game situation is possible, due events, but its not likely possible with a standard game, you would need to have many events to ensure such a chance.

Yes, you can capture trade - both incoming and outgoing. That is, if there was trade coming into the world, you get the incoming trade, and if there was a freighter coming out of the world, you take over the route, if you have one free.
(Unless, of course, you are at war with whoever was at the other end of the trade.)

I have heard of people who like to take a few early good choices, get Xeno Trade Persuasion or whatever the first good tech is, and then switch to evil... or maybe it was the other way around.
You can also gain oppositely aligned techs through esponiage.

I am pretty sure that Peace is correct here. You are no longer able to get opposite aligned techs from espionage. In fact when trading for techs I am sure that you can't see them in another AI's tech list either.

You certainly can't when trading techs... But I did get some evil techs while playing my last game. Maybe it was when you capture a planet that you can steal evil techs?

This I know is true. I do it all the time. ;)

No, playing AP with the latest update in my last game I was almost pure good but was able to steal evil techs from the Drengins through spying. Actually this was the first game in a long long time that I was able to steal techs of any kind.

You can capture trade route huh? I wondered how sometimes the AI would take over a planet from a race I had trade with and they would take over. If I try the same thing I loose all the routes attached to it. Seems there is more and more I do not know about Galciv. If others knew the depth of this game they would not stop playing or give Galciv a chance. Nice to know. :HOT:
