AP Map error?!?

I am working on a map (28x28) and I saved it. Went to reload it to work on it some more and I get a little popup that says GCEditor: "No Error occurred" and won't load. What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks in advance
Kelly

Did you get this error double clicking on the file to open it (which I don't think really works) or opening it from the file menu in the editor?

Okay I'm starting to think this is an internal problem, namely my video drivers :(. I can't even run the program at all. I get to stardock central and the AP startup menu, but once I click on an option the screen goes blank and then I'm back to where I started from (ie stardock central is there but AP startup is gone.).
Thanks anyways

Well I reset everything and then reinstalled both Galciv and AP, but still running into the same problem with the map editor.
I get the following errors: No Error Occurred, Error in GCEDITOR EXE, and MFC71.DLL. (Don't always get the last one). Get the no error occurred error when attempting to load a saved map, I close that error then right click on the screen and I get the GCEditor exe error and that's all she wrote.

This help any?

My first thought is the file is corrupted.

I would find an editor that will read it then save it as a totally different file.

It happens with any map I try to create from scratch or the one from the Library (Xnemths). However, I think I found a workaround by using the already created maps that come with it (and edit as I see fit) it opens and closes without any problems...wierd eh?

When you go to create a new map, are you selecting New from the file menu, or trying to start placing objects immediately? You do always need to select new when creating a new map, otherwise it doesn't initialize the map.
