Buying via 3rd parties = download on release?

I like this idea that if you buy this game you can DL it to play while waiting for the CD, however I am wondering if this occurs when you buy from a 3rd party such as Amazon?

Probably in a FAQ somewhere but I couldn't see it

Any help will be appreicated.

'fraid not. But Amazon.com does ship next day so it's practically like being able to do that.

Hehe, aye but for us poor peeps in the UK it takes a bit longer because amazon.co.uk are not carrying it at the moment. (Is that going to change? Go on, threaten them with battleships and rabid fans with firebombs)
