Won my first game, but with questions

Well i won my first game set on the easiest level and smallest map, just to get started

. Anyways it said I won Thru Militay Conquest, But i didnt even take over a star system with force. The I-League destroyed all my enemies while i was fighting them off from my own planets and star bases. Just wondering how I got a Military Victory without killing off all the other Civs? Was it becuase the I-League is not recognised as a Civ? Just wondering, Thx for your help, and so far i'm wishing i found this game sooner

You got military victory if there isn't any major Civs left.

Carinoids, Scottlingas, Kwilasians, Alexians, I-league, Funsamentalist ... are all minors AI and, aren't taken in account when deterimining military or alliance victory.
