Whenever the creators are bored...

I've purchased Master of Orion III the day it was released, because I've waited so long for it since MOO2. And I was so dissappointed the day I've played my first game MOO3. But there was a little commercial card in the package announcing GalCiv. After playing my first to games I know it is better in most cases. Unfotunately I had the same feeling like in Civilization III when it was released. "Great Game but I cannot share the fun with others". A lot of fans made Sid Meier create a multiplayer addon and everything was fine. What I want to say: Whenever the GalCiv creators might be bored in the next time...think of a multiplayer addon. This great game would get even more addicting. I'm looking forward to spend nights together with my friends competing for the galaxy, finally long after MOO3.

I am afraid that Brad has said that it will never happen. A real shame though, as it would make a great multiplayer game, I agree.

Sid Meier said it will never happen as well and it did happen. So maybe Brad will take it into consideration when he's searching for a new challenge. I said "new" because I think GalCiv Multiplayer would be a rather different experience for the players. And as a programmer myself I think it is not too much work to create a bridge between the players. I think it would be quite enough to enable LAN games with, let's say, up to six players. No need for Internet games.
