Curse you Amazon!

I am ever so frustrated, so just thought I would vent some of that here.

I ordered this game from Amazon last week, after reading various reviews and the stuff on this site, I knew it was a game I wanted to play quite badly. I head to Amazon, place an order, next day shipping... and bite my nail all week awaiting arrival. Now I get an e-mail saying it is to be delayed and probably won't be delivered until at the earliest, April 22.

I've been dreaming about this game anticipating playing it all week, now I have to wait more. What's worse, I can't cancel the order as its already in the shipping process. Otherwise I would cancel it from Amazon, download it off stardock and play it happily while I await my CD to arrive. Not really much point to this post, other than I am going to die of anticipating in the next 3-4 weeks waiting for this thing to get here.

lol, no doubt. I suppose I can take the time to write detailed letters to friends and family explaining why I may dissappear in a few weeks... just so they don't worry to much.

or take the time and enjoy a little sun.. sigh

That they do not. Unless the boys at stardock want to give me a freebie download out of pity with mine not knowing how to prove I have an ordered copy from Amazon... there isn't much I can do (I know they are great with customer support, hehe, but it'd be asking to much of them for this).

I cancelled my pre-order with them many times in the past. For games always use EB! they had Galciv the day before their ship date. Check this out...I forgot to cancel my pre-order with Amazon/Galciv and a week later it still said "usually ships in 2-3 days".You owe yourself this game/next day delivery

I just downloaded the thing, though that was the last days of my cable service.. don't know how long it would have taken on my new 56k service.. I might have set it up to download overnight even so. But I agree with EB being much faster than Amazon.com. I have a feeling Amazon.com is going to go the way of the dinosaur with the present state of their service..

Now where is the rolleyes icon? ::rolls eyes::
