Computer Restart Crash....

Need some advice, whenever I play GalCiv. after a while, the computer crashes. It's not the usual CTD crash, it actually Restarts my computer which tends to get frustrating after a while.

GalCiv. Specs.
Original GalCiv. with Mods./Patch Update 1.2

Any suggestions?

Mine does the same thing from time to time. I discovered it was happening when the game was trying to autosave... so I set that out to maximum and do my own manual saves. That works. Tha autosave does work most of the time unless there is a lot going on... and my PC... well... it's a little behind the times (AMD-7 CPU). That may account for some things... but in your case? Don't know, but check if the crash might be about the same time as a auto save (be sure the hard disc isn't too fragmented as well; run defrag if need).

Yes even AP crashes not all the time with me it usually crashes to the desktop. Running Win XP Pro

There is a bugs thread at the top of the page.

Turning off autosave helps, also seen mentioned that there maybe an event issue which causes crashes.
