I'm a PC RPG JUNKIE! :d
Can't seem to find a pen & paper game where everyone: 1. Knows how to play; 2. Aren't conflict-addicts; & 3. Will show up more than twice to play! :(

Icho - if you are looking for a ref, contact Citizen Mexal at [email protected]

She ran a game for the assorted interested parties here a year or so ago!.

We simply need a few more players to get the game going.

I play the pen and paper every day at lunch. the exchange here carries a few books which is nice but the brits have a few great stores. Our DM is sadistic though... but predictable for the crazy actions.

I love the pen and paper games the most. I find as I get older I play less and less, work being a problem, keeping a girlfiend, such stuff. We try to play once a week, but most people have commitments that have to be adhered to. I now play rpg's as single player computer games and strategy games, like MOO, Galciv and CIV. These three are all RPG's to me.

I can certainly understand that. I have never played D&D pen paper but my son was addicted to role playing all his free time went into the games with his friends.

I consider those type of games role playing to a degree except civ3 though I see your point. Assuming the role of some leader from days of old practically the same thing. Space Empires IV & Star Fury made by some guy are also RPG in a way.

Only if you are unlucky to become ill and be out of work at 49 do you have time to play that sort of thing. Like a lot of things D&D is a huge black hole of time! LOL

My friend Ryan is trying to start up a D & D campaign, and I'm looking forward to that.  So far, my only experience with D & D has been with computer games.  I have slightly more experience with Werewolf and Mage, two White Wolf games that use D10s. Unfortunately, it's hard for me and my friends to all pick one day that everyone can make when we'll have enough time for a full session.

A huge black hole of time is a very apt description!

I used to play it while in college. Got tired of people only wanting to play evil characters. My time is now divided between church, work and some occaisional strategy games like Civ 3 & GalCiv.

Hi all,

I played during my college years. When Wizardry came out for the Apple we all but abandoned the paper and pencil quests. Bards Tale I-III, Might and Magic IV etc were our new D&D objectives. As for the paper game I played Paladins, Fighters, Clerics, a Mage and a Psionicist. All were Good or Neutrals. No evil types. I wouldn't enjoy playing an evil character, even when it's not real.

Hey Icho,

I don't know if I'm interested in playing again. I barely have time to get in a game of Gal Civ. How have you been though? I haven't seen your posts lately.

Well, not much to say at the moment. I'm getting pretty occupied at the university. Well and GC games... I keep losing points, since I play less regular then before (:(

Did any of you guys try out Neverwinter Nights in the play over the net with other people and an actual DM in charge kind of way?

Desert Fox, am very sorry to hear you are ill and presumbly on sort of forced early retirement. I spent most of high school in and out of hospital and would much rather have gone to school.

Sorry to take so long to post back to this thread.

Miaau, Yes indeed I have played NWN online with some of my friends. Thamis at my site is one of the best DM I played with thus far. :) Opening up the next leg of my network that will be RPG themed. NWN and Knights of the Old Republic will be the featured games. 2 of my favorite RPG games of all times. :D

Thanks for the kind comments, I am adjusting to this situation. My illness is not a common one for most to not able too peform regular work. I am going through tests not hospital stays a lot of testing. :D

I am working on growing my hosting and marketing business now that the foundation is forming. Working for someone else will never be practical unless they understand I can be sick at any time. I would not hire myself!! LOL

CariElf, you are welcome to come along and join the D & D Game. Open too everyone... :p
