Space monster zoo

When you get permission to build a space monster zoo do you get to build it? If so, how? It doesn't show as a structure in the building selection. Or does it just get built automatically?

As far as I understand, it gets built automatically.

And do your best to dump the zoo on your enemy when it's time to vote. They *will* escape, and cause havoc, so find a race nicely far away...

It is an automatic event that will provide an economy boost. It isn't a permanent structure because the benefits wear off after a cetain period. But beware if they escape! Then you have a bunch of space sharks appear!

They don't always escape, but they ususally do. Only try to grab it yourself if you have battleships, dreadnaughts, or higher on hand.

I guess they never escaped in my previous game, that's why I was wondering. Thanks for the info and advice.
