Sunday Insomnia

Windows open,
Fan turned off,
Sheets kicked to the bottom,
I still can't sleep.

Glass of water,
Go to the bathroom,
Lay on side,
Close windows from parking lot noise,
Now quilts pulled to the top,
Eyelids closed,
Eyes open.

Fan on,
Lay on chest,
Fidgit and groan,
Why won't morning come and make the night leave me alone?
