Diplomacy for neutrals

OK, I understand that Good and Evil civs don't get along, but:
(i) is there a good/neutral or neutral/evil diplomatic penalty?
(ii) if the same ethical status, will two good races get along better than two evil races?
(iii) to what extent will trading with a civ with different ethical standards make your citizens unhappy? (Probably not important, since the other civ will hate you and quit trading with you.)
Example: a neutral trading empire. Should it shift alignment to match it's best trading partners, or remain neutral to trade with everybody?
