SDCentral locking up or VERY SLOW

I just started having this problem 2 days ago at first I thought maybe something was wrong with Stardock and their servers but my coming on here seems to disprove that. I have the RC6 version of the client and was able to download the 1.02 the other day. The problem is this SDCentral does not want to refresh or even log in. On the status bar it says "Status: verifying internet connection" I actually had it work a moment ago but it took upwards of 10 or more minutes to log in. I've tried it with and without my firewall. Rebooting, reinstalling SDCentral RC5, it eventually logged in and installed RC6 and it has also not fixed this problem. Anyone having similar issues or know what to do? Under the software page it stays with the little stop watch for a LONG time. Also if during this time of "verifying internet connection I try to close the program it will still remain loaded (by looking in taskmanager) and I have to kill the process from there.

Also I had noticed a few under RC5 and RC6 when viewing the forums it would lock up for 5 seconds at a time every so often when I'd be reading topics. Like a delay of downloading a message or checking for forum updates but I have it to check every 10 minutes and it was happening more than every 10 minutes and also the lockup was occuring while still looking at a thread I had already loaded up.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
