Auto-pilot constructors - bug?

Has anybody else noticed this? I am building large numbers of constructors, they have speed 2. If I move them manually they move 2 squares and end their movement, but if I set them to auto-pilot and there's a starbase in the 3rd square then the constructor moves 2 squares *and gets an "Upgrade?" pop-up?!?

They don't move 3 steps normally, it's just in the final approach to a starbase that they seem to get that free move if on auto-pilot.

Actually, when you move the constructor manually and only have two tiles left to the starbase, you can click on the starbase instead of in space on the last two moves and you will also get the question to upgrade, so it gets a free move on the last move even if you do it manually..

So if I only move them the proper two squares on autopilot, and they have 0 movement points left, can I still click on a starbase in the next square? If so, everything's fine (if a little confusing). Otherwise, there's a problem.

Ah, no, if you have 0 moves left you have 0 moves left, but if you have 1 or 2 moves left and can reach the square just next to the starbase with those moves, then you can click the starbase and it will ask to upgrade.
So your right, might be a small bug there ;)

well, that's what I meant, if I can use my last two moves to get to the square next to the starbase specifically by targeting -that square-, then subsequently click the starbase. I'll play with it later.
