I'm NOT getting the full experience

from Stardock Forums
Just a quick question here.

I purchased GC a while back...sometime around it's first release. I loaded it up along with all the current patches.

For some reason I am not getting cut scenes and all the other goodies that it seems other players are getting.

Is my version old or do I have to set an option to 'CUT SCENE ACTIVATION"

I want to buy GC/AP but not if it is the same ole thing.

Have you get all patches with Stardock central? If it is the case, there is a separate download for the multimedia files.

I am not sure if I have ALL the downloads.

I couldn't get stardock central to work.

I had the same problem that someone just posted a new thread on today.

I could never get STARDOCK central to recognize me no matter how many times I tried.

So to answer your question I probably don't have all the latest updates.

I will try tonight...Can you or someone else explain what I need to download to get cut scenes and all the other goodies.

I don't know how many people played ALPHA CENTARI but I really like that game and was hoping that GalCiv would be similar...but when I didn't get the cool wizbang cutscenes...I lost interest in the game and put it on the shelf for a long time...just broke it out again yesterday...and now I am looking to buy AP.

Well, there aren't many cutscenes in Galciv: at the beginning, at the ending and some small cutscene for first (first colony, first trade route, first starbase ...) + some animation for improvements and tech.

Well I tried STARDOCK CENTRAL last night and I am still having trouble.

I cannot register my game...and it has been that way for ages.

When you entered your serial numbers for Galciv to get the downloads you should have entered email information for registering the game. That email must match the one you use for SDC. I had problems also, when you load up SDC make sure you look through the tabs to add in your serial number for galciv you have from the CD. If this does not work support would need to be contacted. :)

Stardock is great about helping fans with problems unlike other companies who NEVER answer your emails.

In the meantime stop in at NeoTech Gaming Network http://www.neotechgaming.com featured game is Galciv of course. A Sci-Fi themed website adding to the entertainment. (geeks & nerds welcome) :D

STILL NO ANSWER FROM THE SUPPORT GUYS

I e-mailed them a week ago and still no answer. I sure wish someone would fix my issue.

I told them what operating system I was using and let them know what error message I was getting.

Still no answer!!!

Maybe I should e-mail the account/sales people??

Sorry for the multiple POSTS...I got an error message when I hit the submit button so hit the button 2 more times.
