Opps forgot my favourite quote :P

"And chances are good that additional customization options will be available in the future. The latest patch from Stardock totally revamped the Game Setup screen with a multitude of new race modifiers, which were likely suggested to them by their beta testers. This also brings up the point of how open Stardock is to suggestions. The company truly wants the game to do well, and is extremely receptive to player feedback.

The majority of the questions posed in the forums are personally answered, and you get the feeling that they understand a game doesn't have to be a best seller on release day to be successful in the long run. This is especially true, considering that 4X games have a relatively long shelf life. Stardock wants to nurture Galactic Civilizations into being a great game rather than push it out the door and start pounding out code for the sequel. And that's really refreshing in the gaming world today. "

Not bad as far as the facts go, either. Only two factual errors. First, I do believe that cultural victory requires 90%, not the 7/8ths mentioned in the article, though I could be wrong (I know that 7/8ths was correct for the Beta, and that the devs discussed changing it for the release, but I don't know if the reviewer reviewed the beta or the release).

Second, he's propogating the myth that the AI knows where the good planets are. This is not true, despite many people here saying that it is. The AI does know where the yellow stars are, and those are most likely to have inhabitable planets, but it has no clue which stars have the best planets. People have found as high as a class 20 around non-yellow stars, and the AI isn't going to race to check them out.

I think its still 7/8ths isn't it?.

He had to point out the AI knows where to good systems out, other wise you end up with a biased review :)
