I, hut101, who contributed to the creation of the Star Trek Mod, and those who also helped will be assisting in the creation of the Babylon 5 total conversion mod or BTTC. This however does not mean that the STTC will go without support. You can find all the help you need for that mod at: http://neotechgaming.com/viewforum.php?f=14

Are these conversions for B5, Star Trek, etc, including new ship graphics as well? If so, I may need to try these out, given the pain it is to add these graphics (myself, having finally added a Borg cube ship graphic, mdl file, for a Borg mod I was working on). I can imagine the fuss for converting all those ships, arg...

Check out the Star Trek Total Conversion mod here: http://www.neotechgaming.com/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=16

As for the B5 mod, as soon as we get a graphics modder we will have ship graphics as well.

I'm downloading the file; if all goes well in the 3 hour download, then it'll get played. Looks like you all put a whole lot of work into it, so thanks much from one who will certainly give it a good playing over the holidays.

I would consider helping on modding new ship graphics, but I'm still too new and slow at it, and don't know enough about it yet (I don't get the masking thing yet, or why it is needed). So much of the process, as best I can tell, is a mouse click fest just to do a single graphic with what I'm using currently (I'm not even referring to the actual part of drawing the ship in a graphics program - which I'm not that good at anyway - just all the file copying, saving, renaming, testing, tweaking the Off-Set numbers, etc). Anyway, I hope you all find some good help. I'm more fond of the B5 ships, actually - so, it'll be good to see them in the game.

It appears if you learn the ins and outs of graphic work for Galciv you will be one busy guy!! The only reason BAB 5 was not done and Star Trek not finished was due to loosing our only GC Graphic man TurgotZ. He is MIA no one knows what happened to him.

Hope to see you at NeoTech http://www.neotechgaming.com/portal.php?sid=2ecd9994d30f785aa7e8d22559148d68 a Starbase for Galciv fans - plus a lot more

Well, I find it intersting, but I had really hope for more of a more expert base of fans regarding these things... the GC/AP fan base seems pretty small... it's like pulling teeth to get some basic answers to some of this stuff. At this point, I'll probably just finish my Borg Cube and call it a day. I work 50 hour plus weeks (electrician, foreman), so finding time can be hard at times. I'm currently on vacation until Monday... just taking it easy at home on the PC and watching SciFi DVDs (movies and episodes).

Oh.. I understand Chippoka! 50 hours a week I would not be online as much as you bud. :D

Our hope is in Akula hands she is working on some ship models but she is doing with her own programs. She needs the specifics on the graphics. Bit size etc. if you happen to have any of this info then we can get her started. She loves to render graphics and she is very good at it! ;)
