Suns But No Planets

In the game im currently playing there are 4-5 stars close to me with no planets what so ever just the suns.

Will there ever be events in the game where somthing happens and a planet is created or any tecnology that can create a planet.

Also how do I find out what the maximum population for a planet, and does it ever stop growing????

Which setting do you use? With "rare" this can happen. Otherwise I guess it is statistics. You just had an unlucky start.

Planet events are very rare. Most frequently it happens when a new minor race appears.

The maximum population is 100 Bil. and the maximum growth is 200 Mil. The population growth when the moral on this planet is >= 54%. When the moral reaches 100% the growth is doubled from usual 3% to 6%.

This is why it is important to have 100% morale at the beginning. But as of 6.7 Bil. 3% are > 200 Mil. thus the growth is cut and it's useless to have 100% morale. When you have population abilities the cap comes in even earlier.

Excellent advice! I have never played on that setting. No idea what the situation would be like. I perfer huge tightly clustered abundant worlds. Gigantic are also entertaining but the length of time it takes is not worth the effort.

Three of the suns are orange and in one sector on medium sized galaxy and one is blue can't remember the other colour. The settings that its on is occasional for the planets.

DF, try playing Gigantic, tight, rare...(and ctr-n until you get a start in the middle) then tell me how quickly you can whip out a game at gigantic!!!

Everything depends abount the number of colonizable planets. An huge abundant tight cluster has certainly more habitable planet than gignatic rare tight cluster. But trade income in gigantic can be incredible :)
