A few odd things that are causing me problems....

Ok first of all i researched the alliances tech and can't do any kind of treaties. I'm moderately far in the game as well and i can't engage in any treaties with anyone....

Also i noticed that it seems the improvements that add to manufacturing do absolutely nothing... like for military and social it just has the base values no matter how much i build there. I have a planet that is the manufacturing capital with many manufacturing improvements and it takes just as long to create things as it does on the next planet that has nothing even close to that. Just noticed that the planet with the manufacturing improvements has +2 to each one..... is that supposed to be that way when you have about 5 improvements that add to manufacturing?

btw the amount the planet is producing is 6+2 "shields"

read the economy post in the galciv manual (on the website) It explains where those plusses come from.

You can only get an alliance with any race when you are at least 'close' with that race. Until then the option does not show up.
