New Ship Graphics Available For GC/AP

Get them here. "Readme" text files are included. Unzip zip file into a temp directory. Some basic file handling knowledge (changing directories, coping, etc) and editing of game text files with Windows Note Pad is required to use these graphics files in GC/AP above the default settings I provided. Some of this information is contained in the readme file. It's pretty easy. I will be adding other new ship graphics MDL files as time goes along, so keep checking weekly ;)

Anyone who has a 64x64 ship graphic picture (even if just a bmp file or jpg), then let me know... perhaps I can turn it into a ship MDL graphic file for you for use in the game. Just PM me (assuming this site has private message abilties). I'm still learning this stuff, so I'm not real fast, and it takes time if animation is involved. Chances are, I won't do complex animation (way too time consuming as I have not found a fast way to do it)... but blinking ship lights of revolving spheres (mines, Star Bases, etc)? No problem.

I normally post in the Mod section of the forums, so be sure to check there weekly or bi-weekly for new ship graphics.

My latest creation is the Nuclear Missile ship.

(Nuke MDL.zip)

This ship graphic was made to go with the Tactical Missile ship mod which is currently available at this site, but which had no original graphic of it's own... so I made one.

Special Thanks to Dark Rain for the utilties which made this possible :)

Hey good job! You going to post this work at NeoTech please? :p There are a few mods that need graphics. With TurgotZ gone the Star Trek Mod is not going to be finished. His shipset file was corrupted so we are out of luck. :notsure:

As far as what I do have, feel free to use them. Is there an PM feature to this site? If so, send me a PM, and I'll send you my email so that you can send me any graphics 64x64 which you may want converted to MDL.

I'll join Neo Tech at some point. I also found this site interesting (I'm used to that sort of board as well):
