Newbie question - Destroy Colony

Greetings!

I apologize if this has been asked and answered before.

I have been trying to destroy a colony that I created so that I could increase the range of my colony ships. I sent every last bit of population off onto a new colony ship, but it survived with 0 population. I have done several searches of these forums, and I have come up with references to a mysterious "destroy colony" command, but no indication of where I can find it. I have searched both the manual and unofficial strategy guide .pdf's, again with no reference to where I can find this command.

All questions about why this feature is not documented in the manual aside, would someone be so kind as to explain to me, in detail, exactly where in the user interface I can find this command? I swear I have searched every pixel of every screen, and I can't find this command.

I appreciate any and all help you can give.

Go to the Colony Info screen and hit the "details" button, that will show the specifics of the Colony (Governor, existing improvements, the Text blurb about the Planet, etc). There is a "Back" button and a button to destroy the Colony. Click that, it'll ask if you're sure and that's that!
Keep in mind; it's really early and I'm describing this from memory (I play a lot of games), but that should do it.
