Making Peace...I can't!

So you mean when you go to speak to alien screen whom your at war with, Peace treaty in not an option in the Treaties area on the left hand side of the screen midway down. :notsure:

Strange. Don't know. It's sometimes hard to get them to accept, but it is always there as far as I know.

Are there any treaty offer options shown. :notsure:

I only have the option to attack...they have both attack and make peace. I don't get it! Where can I see what i've researched so far? I may be able to tell you exactly has been researched.

Update: Found my archives. I have researched alliances, which clearly states I can have allies...I have also researched Diplomacy, advanced diplomacy, Universal translator, trade, and others. I just don't get it.

Great. The yor quit, and gave me all of thier planets. Now It's only me and the Torians. Sigh...Can I still ally with them if it's only us 2 and some minor races?

You can ally with them, however you must first get them to "Close" in relations. This is done by giving them things for free. If your aim is to go for an alliance win, you can give them something like 200BC for 50 turns and that will usually do the trick. (This works for me at Masochistic level, I would imagine the amount would be less at a lower level). Once they have moved relations to "Close" with you, you will see the alliance option appear in the middle of the left column. You may have to give them a few techs or a wonder along with the alliance proposal, but if your game is set to accept an alliance win your game will be over at the end of this turn.

What are you playing? a random map or a scenario?
