Can't update/problem with serial

Okay, so after sorting through the whole switched codes on my deluxe edition, I popped the game in. However I very much wanted to play in windowed mode, so I set out in search of one. I discovered that it's available in the patch, but despite my best attempts I can't download it. neither stardock central or the website recognize my serial code. What am I doing wrong here? please help me :(

It's already build in. You don't need to download anything.

You need a solution > 1024 by 768 and a color depth of exactly 16bit.

When you meet these prerequisites you can start it with "galciv.exe w" on the command line or change your shortcuts.

Alright thanks, I've got windowed mode. I'd still like to be able to get the update though, if anyone can help.
