+14 to uninhabited Planets?

Hi there,

I'm from Germany and just play GalCiv since about a month - just to explain my english and my (not existant) experience with the game.
I just had an game going on with the message, that the Altarians had found an artefact that increased all uncolonized planets in one of their systems by +14 - I fist thought, 14 %, but no; they now got a system with six planets, PQ 28, 26, 26, 25 - and two 22, they colonized before... Just scanned the forum for it but found no hint for that event - anyone knows it?
I now desperately try to conquer the system, but my Battlehammers (?) don't reach that far, only the transporters do...

Hi,

I'm kind of new, too. But I have run across this random event, also. Sometimes, you or the AI just gets lucky! :D

As for getting to the system with your Battlehammers, you either:

1) Have to conquer/colonize a planet closer to it, or
2) Establish a starbase closer to it.

Of course, there are techs you can research that will extend their range, too.

Dieses Event ist eins von zwei verschiedenen seltenen Vorkommnissen, die manchmal während des Spiels auftreten. Schau' wenn so etwas passiert auf alle Fälle auch die Systeme in der näheren Umgebung auch mal an, dieses oder ein ähnliches Event erhöhen nämlich auch die PQ benachbarter Systeme. Wie Graf von Deimos schon gesagt hat brauchst Du Starbases oder eigene Kolonien in der Nähe um die Reichweite Deiner Schiffe zu vergrössern. Auch ein Paar Antriebs-Techs helfen Dir da weiter.

Warte bis Du Combat-Transporst bauen kannst, da kriegst Du ein Paar Truppen mehr 'rein, auch eignen sich AMMs hervorragend um die gegnerische Verteidigung auszuschalten.

Wenn Du eine Invasion planst, sammle Deine Flotte nicht direkt in einem/dem bald feindlichen System, sonst kannst Du nämlich selbst eine Kriegserklärung bekommen bevor Du soweit bist.
