what's holding me up

http://www.au.lastminute.com

the lessons of my life come through
somewhere i cannot travel to
a place i almost never go
each time i simply want to know

the lessons of my life are learned
each with my haste, quite unconcerned
so heedless of my hurried plans
they hold me back with gentle hands

the lessons of my life are cruel
if i am wood, so they are tool
like doctors' writing, truth is here
but i can't read it, so i fear

the lessons of my life are vast
when learning comes from teachings past
if static i choose to remain
then this lesson i'll see again

like doctors' writing, truth is herebut i can't read it, so i fear

Damn Doctors, if they're paid that much shouldn't they at least have to write legibly? It's nice to have someone's work to read when I can think of nothing to write.

PS - when did you become vanessa?

I am inspired to write the following Migku:

enigmatic oz
writes like warm sweet wind
even dave digs it.

oh no ... i hope you thought of something by now, suspeckted !. i have a free afternoon (it's 1.40pm friday here), and i had planned to pop over and "visit" you ... catch up, you know ... just see what's new ... (see, i seem to have this problem today ... i can think of nothing to write. maybe i got it by osmosis from your comment ? ... oh, and there is a (very boring) story behind the sudden appearance of "vanessa". i know muggaz in real life, and he mentioned to me on several occasions (in a very kind way) that i seemed to be a very "distant" person on ju. (ok, ok, and weird too hehe). whilst i am actually rather shy in person, i hadn't realised that i may have appeared to be unfriendly. vanessa is my real name, and whilst i do prefer to write under "mignuna", as i always have, (i "answer" to "mig" and "miggy" on and off the internet), i thought about what muggy said and decided it would be a good idea if i tried to relax a little bit.

david, i haven't seen an original haiku in ages !. it's wonderful !. (i'm sorry that sounds so big-headed, being that it's about me, after all), but i meant the composition ... introduction, description, and i LOVE the dave-esque twist on the finish. nobody could have convinced me that i'd ever enjoy a haiku with the word "dig" in it, but, yet again david, you break new ground. i will attempt one in return. there is a good chance it will stink. but since suspeckted has writers block i may as well occupy myself somehow hehe

ps: david, i'm too embarrased to leave this on one of your threads as it's so irrelevant, but in answer to your migku ...

enigmatic oz

even dave digs it.

i have produced a very feeble daveku in resonse ...

Some of my co-workers have expressed this sentiment to me, so you are spot on I think. Thanks for the kind words and inspiration.
