Problems with Gal Civ Gold Edition Antaran Prophecy

Hello!

I have the german edition of this game and it seems there
are some serious bugs on it: in the normal Gal Civ ( without
the AP expansion ) when you research impulse drive your ships receive a +10 speed bonus. When playing the Gold Edition version you dont recieve any speed bonus. Is this a
bug or has the technology tree been changed? What about the original US AP version of this game, do you guys receive a +10 speed when you have researched impulse drive?

I also noticed that when you want to upgrade a starbase resource, a message in the window box appears there saying: 'string not found'.

The german version has been also bad translated... :-(.

I have both Gal Civ with and without AP on my PC and I have
both updated using at stardock central.

A final word to Gal Civ II to the developers:
If possible PLEASE make sure that an original US version
of this game will be avaiable in Europe. I have made many
times the experience that localized verions are bad
translated and have more bugs than the original; furthermore the support of localized versions is of lower quality that for the original games.

One major problem is that the patches via Stardock Central don't work together with the localizations.

This is one thing which really needs a solution for GC2. Please discuss that with your publishers and find a technical solution.

Well, since you have updated the version using Stardock Central, you are able to install the whole US version.

It may need some works, but you should find a way to download the whole game (GC and AP) without the multimedia pack to get the english data files.
