Metaverse prob

hello. i'm new to the metaverse. i've had galaxy civ for about five months now and i love it. i want to get on here but the problem is in the move from a different state, i think my code got tossed in the trash. i know exactly where i got the game. i can even remember which rack it was on in the store. is there some way to get registered? i have the cds right here in front of me, just don't have the booklet anymore due to some stupid parents.

well i saw that someone asked this a bit before so i took the steps necessary. looks like the key doesn't work. oh well. guess that means i won't be buying anymore stardock or strategy first games. later.

heh well actually i found a way around the problem. for anyone else that has this problem, here's what i did to fix it:

look in your galactic civ folder for a file called install.txt or somesuch. open it and scroll down to near the end where it starts saying things like regdb name, regdb key etc. in there, i found a listing for the serial number on my cd set.
