Hi, here's a would-be player wondering how to get the game working. My computer fulfills all specs, unless I'm very much mistaken, but when I get to the main GalCiv screen, it's virtually pitchblack; no text shows, etc. It's beyond use. I can't see anything in the Readme that's directly relevant, unless my 16MB graphics card is so terribly out of date GalCiv doesn't like it but every other game does.
The only reason I can see is that my display can't support 1024x768 in 16-bit colour; but as I can set it to that display, I can't see why not.
Can anyone help? Anything would be appreciated.
