Other than the encyclopedia, is there anywhere to get good examples of the following:
1. How ecomics works in terms of IUs vs. spending levels. The examples in the encyclopedia were too confusing for my small brain. It would be helpful to have several really complete and simple ones.
1a. For example, the encyclopedia has an example starting with 20 IUs. What determines that in the first place, before improvements - population, PQ? How many IUs do I need in general to keep pace with my economy?
1b. I am stil confused how IUs cost you $. Is it 1 IU for 1 credit?
1c. If I have a massive amount of IUs, I sort of understand some of that is bonus, but a lot of that must be paid for. Is that why my tax revenue never seems enough?
2. How Planet Quality and Population relate to tax and IUs. I know the amount of people affects the amount of taxes, but how about something more specific on that? And for PQ too.
3. Build Times: Does a planet with great population affect build times? What about PQ?
Summary: I am sure I am just too stupid to get a lot of this, but for a game that prides itself on making things intuitive and simple, the mechanics seem far more confusing than other standbys (like Moo2). BTW, I am not intending to criticize - much of this game handles intuitively (and I do like the game very much), but I do feel like I am flying in the blind most of the time. Surely, I can't be the only confused by the underlying mechanics? Maybe I am...
