Planet Quality Bonus

PQ is very important. Since there is an income cap of 4 times PQ it is the only effective way to increase your income in the endgame.

Higher PQ means higher productivity, better moral, the possibility to colonize planets with PQ < 15 etc.

The problem with this bonus is the same as with all other boni in GC. All digits after the decimal point are cut off.

i.e. to increase the value of a PQ 20 planet you need 5%. With 4% you would have only 20,8 which is cut down to 20 and you don't see any effect.

The problem with the PQ ability is that it is very expensive. Diplomacy or research might be a better bet for you.

And no, the PQ does not grow with the time.

Yeah, I agree with Walldorf2000 - it's good bonus, altough on higher difficulty levels free research and production points + additional speed for your ships are imo better options.

Still, you can boost your PQ by planetary improvements like soil enhancement, habitat improvement or terraforming - there's also one powerful Galactic Wonder that boosts up PQ of your every planet by AT LEAST 1 CLASS - The Terraformer, but it's avaible usually at the end of the game, after researching Evolution Control ( altough on the higher difficulty levels AI may get it before you - on the lower, you should be always first ).
