Starting allocation of Points

Anyone wawnt to share their experienxe with allocationg points versus tactics? I am rather new and a few pointers would be nice.

To get it started. I want to reasearch the hell out of everyone so is it smar to allocate everything into research specifik abillities or will I be to dangerously low in too many other abillitites?

My Last few games i choose the +15%PQ and +1 Sensor Range.

The 15%PQ is an incredible bonus, it improves productions, raises morale, raises research etc on a planet.

Yeah, gotta love that +15%PQ... It's just too fun to be able to colonize 12 quality planets, slap on soil enrichment and be instantly at 15 quality.

Really nice way to sneak a couple of planets behind enemy "lines" to help with your culture spread...

But back to the original question, there really aren't any bad choices and you can have alot of fun taking a different tack at the game based on what you choose. Just give thought to your government/ability choices (don't double up unless you want to) and make sure to keep in mind what you have and play to your strengths.
