Arrow Keys does not work, how can I move my ships?

Hi! I just installed Galactic Civilisations II but the arrow keys I know from the classic Civilisation games do not seem to work. I already updated the game and then the 'normal' arrow-keys started to work but they can only move up/down, and left/right, which means that half of the map can not be reached!
Furthermore, I understood from the tutorial that you can move in 3 D, but I can only see a flat universe.
Can somebody help me?

Wrong forum, dude. This place is dead. Gal Civ is still played but you need to go to the GC 2 forums for community help, as nobody here can/will help you with regards to GC 2 simply because I doubt anybody who owns the game will be around to assist in a timely manner! GC 2's present community is the former GC 1 community.
