This is dedicated to my loving daughter Jade who is 3. She is a good reason I live everyday knowing when I wake up I will have her bright eyes looking up at me saying "mommy, I want cereal" or "mommy, I want noggin", ( for people who dont know what noggin is: it is a preschool channel made up of cartoons where they can learn new things. noggin was created by nickelodeon.)or "mommy, Wake up". But sometimes she makes it hard to be a mom and not a friend wanting to do the same as she does... like dye the cat, make orange juice on the rug, swim in the potty, Pick flowers with out parents consent. Some day this poem will fit in her books and she can tell the world mommy wrote a poem just for me.
Jade
A Baby,
So full of wonder.
A little girl,
So cute and full of life.
A look at her,
She is so curious.
Those Eyes all over the place,
Trying to scoot off the bed.
So Enhanced,
Compared to others.
She is part of me,
Part of your dad.
Part of a world,
She will be able to change.
A little baby girl,
Who I'll love forever.
