BUG: No more sound !!!

After installing update 1.02.042 yesterday I went back to my saved game and noticed the music was no longer playing while in the main interface. I thought this might be because I had started a game with a previous version so I started a new one - same result. I check in the control screen - under playlist and there's nothing there... is this related to the mp3s being played ? I checked my game folders thinking the update might have erased or moved some files - all the MP3s are in their folder but nothing in the playlist folder... I'm lost

Stupid question, but did you make sure that the play from playlist box was not checked? I know that sounds obvious, but when my music stopped working and I couldn't figure out why, that's what it was. Somehow that box got selected to play from the playlist...which there wasn't one...so it just didn't play.

Same thing happened to me. Some how the computer insisted that it wanted to play from a playlist even when it was not selected. To get the music working again simply copy the music files Space01 -05 from the music directory to the playlist directory.

Perhaps you have to reinitialize the playlist directory? I mean: do you want to play the build in music or your own music? If the build in music, see remark by Valamir. Else you have to let the game know where you have your own playlist.
