Turn Button Stays Red

I have a saved game in which I was quite a bit through it but now I can't go on because when I hit the next turn button it just stays red and nothing happens. I can still access all screens and change things etc. but it just won't step to the next turn. I will keep the saved game for awhile.

I think it may be because you have a colony ship selected and ready to go onto a planet- on the right are planets there that you could click on?

Also, once you settle that issue you need to hit ENTER instead of the button to go to the next turn

ahem...same problem here...
latest nvidia drivers, latest sound drivers, directX9,HDD not fragmented, no programs running in background, huge swap file(1 gig), 256 RAM, 1gig duron, nvidia256 @32DDR ....so where's the problem ?

galaxy size, large, 3 AIs......

nonono...enter won't work either...is a souncard based problem i think...just tap ESC an click on the music ON/OFF/ON/OFF button a couple of times and it will unstuck...but a few turns later gets jammed again...
