Beta Testers what's the major differants between Galciv & SEIV ?

I've had a chance to play SEIV Gold, it's not bad but a little dry but no where near as dry as MOO3. What would you said is some a differant ways in which th two are played?

1) SEIV has ship design and tactical combat, GalCiv doesn't

2) Having played GalCiv and SEIV, I'd say GalCiv has a much better AI

Been awhile since I've played SEIV, but other than that, I think they are pretty similar, as many space 4x games are.

So.... it sounds like that if you played SEIV you have pretty much played GalCiv.

There's more to the differences than that - it's just been several years since I played SEIV. The games are different, and the ebb and flow is different. There's more than just lining up features on a page and comparing them.
