I got nothin'

I look at the birds
the birds look at me

it’s 3:49 in the afternoon
humidity is high
still in boxers
boxers still sticking in the sweat
and I wanna write
something
anything

but it’s not there or here
or over there next to the planter
nor is it hidden in the keys by the tube
I could straighten the blinds or mop the piss
in the bathroom
but even with bleach and pinesol there’s nothing
in the bathroom
not even the shit stains on the rim

thinking about the next list of lists and
digging a shelter to be bombed or cleaning
the slime in the sink leaves nothing
much to say

there’s a bottle of tapatio hot sauce
watching the pot seeds in the enameled dish
next to me on this desk
a bottle of anti-depressants
most prominent among the squares
lighters and wads of tissue
but there’s nothing

the birds are still looking at me.

And here I am...in my boxers wanting to write something.....but reading Johnny Masuda is a very close second...I can feel the apathetic despair in this...and I feel it myself.

I'm not sure if this a good thing or a bad thing?

As you have displayed here, Sometimes writing of simple things can accomplish more than writing of complex matters...
