Are the evil moral choices equally evil?

Example 1
There are whales on this planet.
Good: Leave them alone.
Neutral: They get to stay in just one ocean. (+10% pop max)
Evil: Kill'em all! (+20% pop max)
Example 2
The atmosphere here would be suitable for your research.
Good: Leave it alone.
Neutral: Use half of it. (+3% research)
Evil: Use it all. (+7% research)
The evil choices in these examples give you different benefits, but do they push you equally much towards an evil alignment? Or do the degree of 'evilness' vary?
