Universalist?

In the user manual, it says that the smaller % of increases for the Universalist is offset by 'advantages'
gained later on. Is this specific gains for being a Universalist? Later in the game? Sorry if it is a silly question.. just curious. :D

We've removed this political party from the final game. ;)

They were too powerful. The political parties are meant to provide varying strategies. The universalists were kind of a jack of all trades. We may revisit it in some future version though.

I would like to see an Isolationist party.

Isolationists are paranoid about alien influence and alien spies. Isolationists gain a +30% Influence resistance bonus and a +10% Espionage bonus.

I would also like to see a Big Brother Party.

The Big Brother Party believes that the key to growth and prosperity is knowing what every citizen is doing all the time. This will eliminate all crime and corruption. This party receives a +30% bonus to espionage and a +10% bonus to tax revenue.

Perhaps, their should also be Evil Parties in future versions;

AKA: Sadam Hussain Baath Party - This party supports the ruling president and his family. The Baath Party receives a +20 Espionage bonus, +10% Technolgy Bonus and a +10 Influence Resistance Bonus and a -10% Courage Bonus.

Question: Are any events linked to the political party that you choose?

Fair enough, Frogboy. Perhaps, in the future, the party can keep the same abilities but have smaller percentage bonuses. :)

The idea of PP linked events (gofar) is very good, it would give more personality to the game, and also more replay value (not that I doubt the initial one) apart from pure strategic reasons. For example, if you choose War Party, you might end up with peace activists civil dissobedience, on the other hand Mercantile Party might have some Enron-like corporate scandal, and so on...

Both of your suggestions sound to me like good general events.
