So I guess the Beta testers that cant D/L it will NOT get the game on March 26?????

I have still received no eamil so I guess at this late point there is NO way the game will get to me on the 26th????

Each step of the way I now wish I HAD NOT bought the beta but waited and just got it in the store for a cheaper price and I would have got the box and manual!!!


p.s. No I cant D/L the FULL game!!!! I dont have that fast of a connection!!! I would like the game on the 26th!!!!!!

I've been downloading it just fine on a 33.6k connection. The base game is about 50 MB, 4 hours to download if you can get a good connection (took me about 6 the first time).

Once that's downloaded, you can play the game while the multimedia is downloading (that's the long one: 350 MB, roughly 28 hours on a 33.6kbaud line).

In either case, the SDC and the DGM both support download resuming.

The base game for the final release is about 83MB, and the MM is about 366MB. The bonus pack is somewhat smaller (1-2MB).

Kuroth, not sure what to tell ya. We never promised nor implied that you would have CDs on the 26th. Only that you would have the game electronically by the 26th.

You can certainly download the game even on a 28.8k connection. I know, I have many times.

I don't understand the message form Kuroth. If he bought Drengin, he actually choose to DL Galciv and the other games available. Also Brad mentioned Drengin buyers actually can DL the Gold version and Bonuspack "late Monday, early Tuesday". And the emails to Drengin and beta buyers would be send out on Monday.

Well I a personally glad to have been a Beta Tester.

For me I thought the main reason for buying the game by download was to get a peek at the game in development and watch it grow through the Betas.

Now last I checked I have not received a email from Stardock but at this point it does not bother me to wait.

I once again want to thank the developers for allowing me to be part of the Beta experience and if they ever develop a huge game like this again I would be proud to jump on the band wagon and give them my time.
