What do the "Creativity" and "Luck" bonuses ??

They are rather poorly explained and have a "qualitative" feeling, no values, I can't figure out what they do..
Tried them, didn't see much of a difference :(
Can someone help ?

I haven't seen any differences with creativity, but I stopped selecting it long ago.

With "Luck," random events like "You found precursor ships" seems far more likely to come up in my favor.

I noticed when I have the luck bonus I almost always recive the 25% of item researched anomoly successfully. In addition when invading a system the odds (where is changes from 12 to 4, 7 to 7, etc..) not only changes slower, but spits out better odds on average.

With creativity you might have a couple months left when researching something and whammo, it's all of a sudden finished.

Alot of what you see with luck is based on your faith that it's having an effect at all, but I'd concur with Fist of John in that I definitely notice it helping the combat odds. If the forcast for the combat is 7 to 4 or such, I'll quite often see it coming in at more of a range of 10-20 to 4 once the numbers actually start flying.

I'm not convinced about any of the luck results yet - some definite placebo effect happening here.

Creativity does seem to "finish" some techs early, but I think that's about all it does.

There are some luck particular events. One in particular involves you receiving a Ranger class ship due to a stroke of luck.

Well,

I've only ever received precursor ships when I took the luck pick. Placebo? I don't know. It seems fairly empirical so far.
