This may or may not apply to you, but I just figured out that the reason why I couldn't submit my scores was because I had SETI@Home running.

Ouch you play games whilst running Seti@Home?

I just to play that..but performance on my P42.6 was unacceptable. I have to set it running when im at work or out at the pub now lol.

Seti has a way of hijacking CPU Threads and processes, and causes many problems with games..ESPECIALLY as Gal-civ is hyper-threaded!

Heh.. that explains a lot. Do you get an error message? I get nothing at all.. the 'main' window screen just comes up without telling me anything.

That Sounds more like you dont have an active internet connection at the game end ryan.

Even if you have ADSL or cable, Galciv sometimes needs you to reconnect it, so it can detect you have one running.
