Reloading save games, ship bonuses lost!

Every time I reload a save game, all ship bonuses that were on ships built at planets that had shipyards etc are lost. So ship A may have 50 attack and 30 defense, I save, reload, and its back down to 45 / 25. This drives me CRAZY. Is there a fix planned soon?
