Printed Manual

Will there be a printed manual in the retail version of the game? I've seen mention of a pdf manual somewhere, but not of an actual printed manual in the box. Also, if not, then how exactly do we get/dl/print a manual (I'm assuming there IS one)? Thanks for any info.

Yeah, Brad has said the retail version of the game will have a printed manual in it. The CD (presumably whether you get it from retail or shipped direct) should also have a .pdf version of the manual that you can print out or simply peruse on your desktop if you want.

I'm pretty sure they'll release a .pdf of the manual for download, also, sometime around or after release, but I'm not certain about that.

Thanks for the reply. I'm reading here where players say they are/have read the manual. How do you get it online? I'd really like to spend some time with this game and its manual.

The pointer snaska gave points to only the user's guide. There are many more documents available on line at http://www.galciv.com/encyclopedia.asp . This site also includes a pointer in the "fan sites" to JavaScout's tech tree document.
